With the advent of social networking sites, facebook, myspace, twitter, and yes, even AdCandy, brand advertising has entered into a new dimension. It comes with great opportunity and great risk. I met with someone from Lloyds of London, a company that insures the crazy things like peoples body parts, voices, etc. He mentioned that they are insuring companies regarding postings that employees make on social networking sites. It just goes to show you that people believe social networking trains have left the station and will become more and more popular. They are hedging their liability risk with insurance but it also may indicate their intention to accelerate their use and open up the range of uses they may employ.
